Microsoft
has officially ended support for Windows XP. The operating system had
a long run -- 12 years -- and it was installed on almost every PC for
some time. While many people have upgraded to Windows 7 or the newest
Windows 8, you might still have a computer that you use for work or
play that runs on Windows XP, and it's time to upgrade.

End of Life Means :-
While
Microsoft was no longer providing new features to Windows XP since
the release of Windows Vista, the company continued to respond to

was just reported in April 2014, so this is a very real threat.
Furthermore,
Microsoft will no longer provide technical support to customers who
still use Windows XP, a real motivator to upgrade. Add to this that
updates to the programs you rely on during your everyday trading may
not be compatible to Windows XP, and there's no reason to stay with
the operating system.
Which
Operating System is Right For Day Trading?
We
recommend Windows 7 for day traders. You'll find upgrades from
retailers such as Amazon. It's important that you upgrade to the
correct version of Windows 7 for your computer. There are both 32-bit
and 64-bit versions, and your processor won't be compatible with the
64-bit version if you're it's a 32-bit processor. Because we
recommend that upgrading to a 64-bit version of Windows 7 to be able
to more quickly trade, consider completely upgrading to a computer if
it's running a 32-bit version of Windows XP.
To run Windows 7
at 64 bits, you'll also need a good amount of memory, which means you
may be looking to upgrade RAM in addition to your operating system.
Finding the right memory might be difficult and costly with older
PCs, which is another reason to upgrade to a brand-new machine.
However, most brand-new computers run Windows 8, which is still
relatively new and works best for casual users so you'll ant to
purchase a downgrade to Windows 7 for the time being.
